Mega Dock = Mega Fun!

Key Largo to Charleston in Eight Great Days!

We departed Key Largo at high tide Thursday afternoon and arrived in Charleston the following Thursday evening.

Here's what I learned:

  1. Spill the Wine can go anywhere!  She's a comfortable, heavy displacement yacht which wants to go places - our job is to take her there.
  2. Sailing and spending time with my brother Gary is a great time!  He is a super crewman.... and super fun to be around...We're so glad he could join us.... and thanks to Jeanna too, for lending us her husband and flying in for some Charleston good times.
  3. I stink at cards.... We had lots of fun with a daily round of 3-13 and Phase 10..... I guess you know it was a great trip when your biggest complaint was where you stood in the card game standings.  Congrats to Barb... the card queen.
So now I'm looking forward to the next leg.... Charleston to Baltimore.  Fortunately we will NOT be in such a rush this next outing.  We'll take lots more time and with luck explore the Chesapeake slowly on our way up.

  1. Fantastic JOB, make sure you get over to EAST BAY STREET and check out the fine dining area. Also make sure you walk to CAVIAR and BANANAS for coffee in the am and breakfast...the best. NOTE: We dock on the East Bay side at The Maritime Center,.
